Our monitoring service provides:
  • Fully customised monitoring
    You can customise our service at any level, to meet your specific needs. From testing to reporting, you define your requirements to maximise your online investment.
  • Availability monitoring
    We will monitor your website at a frequency specified by your service level. Whenever your site is down, we will advise you and any nominated parties - such as colleagues or your web-hosting company automatically generating an error report. If we can't access your site, then your customers can't either - our information gives you control!
  • Download speed monitoring
    You can nominate a target download times for your pages and our reports will reflect performance against this pre-set target time. Download speed contributes to that all-important 'site-stickiness' - with our comprehensive reporting, you can take steps to improve download performance.
  • Multiple page transaction testing
    Using our automated software, you can monitor complete multiple-step transactions. We will test the complete sequence, from selection of a single product - or a shopping basket of products - right through to payment. You will know when your customers can complete a transaction and when they cannot, through comprehensive reporting.
  • Authenticated login testing
    You can choose which secure web pages we test for availability and download speed monitoring, and can nominate target download times by web page if you wish. If one of these pages is a login page, we'll need to arrange a guest user name and password. If you rely on secure pages for revenue or customer usage, then unreliability could cost you sales and potentially customer loyalty.
  • Search testing
    If you provide a search facility on your website we can flex the engine with pre-defined parameters and confirm that it returns the expected results.
  • Content, server, network, application and database monitoring
    Websites are becoming more sophisticated every day and are often built using databases and web application software such as Cold Fusion and Vignette. Site Confidence can trap and alert on standard error messages produced by these applications. In addition you can also specify error messages to look for in particular pages which, when found, will generate custom error reports.
  • In depth error reporting
    We distinguish between content, application, network and server errors. Once you know the type of error, you can save time fixing it. You can also specify a minimum and maximum page size and we will alert you if your page is outside these limits.
  • Competitor monitoring/benchmarking
    You nominate the competitor websites for site availability and download speed monitoring. We will provide reporting on your performance vs. these competitors. If you haven't got up-to-date information on competitor activity, how can you make the right decisions to improve performance?
  • Automatic alerts & escalation
    Depending on your service level you can define the alert and escalation procedure that best matches your organisational structure. You have complete control and can track, through escalation, when problems are fixed or not. Alerts are sent via email and mobile text messaging (SMS).
  • Industry benchmarking
    We will benchmark your download speed against your nominated industry sector and against our selection of 100 UK websites so that you can see how you're doing.
  • Reporting
    We will email you a summary report showing the results of all your test activity as required - daily, weekly, monthly - the choice is yours.
  • Website Monitoring portal - a password protected area
    You'll have a password protected area on our website with access to full reporting of our entire monitoring activity. You can customise these reports to meet your needs, including summary and detailed information.
  • Support
    We will provide online and telephone support should you have any queries or problems. Our Support section provides general help for quick troubleshooting when you are logged in. We also have a comprehensive FAQ section online.
  • Free online tools
    Once you have logged in you'll also have access to a range of free online tools that will give you additional functionality to assist you in troubleshooting any issues.
